Zopyrosaus Byzantion Proxenosund Wolhtäter des Volkesder Athener sei, er und dieNachkommen; dass sich seinerannehmen die jeweilsamtierenden Generäleund der Rat und diePrytanen, die gewähltsind - - -zusammenarbeit- - -;dass ihm diesen Proxenie-Beschlussder Sekretär, der während der Prytanienamtiert, aufzeichne undaufstelle auf der Akropolis; dass fürdie Aufzeichnung auf dieStele der Schatzmeister desVolkes 20 Drachmen gebeaus dem Dekret-Fonds des Volkes.

The People decided. -atesson of Athen- of -proposed: in other respects in accordancewith the Council’s proposal, but sinceApelles son of Zopyros of Byzantiumdoes what goodis in his power on behalf of the AthenianPeople, and collaborates withthe generals whom the city sends outin every way they require, thePeople shall resolve:that Apelles son of Zopyrosof Byzantium shall be proxenosand benefactor of the AthenianPeople, himself and hisdescendants; and the generalsin office at any timeand the Council shalltake care of him and theprytany who areallotted - - -collaborate - - - ;and the prytany secretaryshall inscribe theproxeny for him andstand it on the acropolis; andfor inscribing the stelethe treasurer of the Peopleshall give 20 drachmas fromthe People’s fund forexpenditure on decrees.
